Advent Calendar 2024

The Five Keys, hailing from Newport News, Virginia, enjoyed a string of hits on Billboard's R&B chart between 1951 and 1956, including four weeks at number one with The Glory Of Love in 1951. But by the time Every Heart Is Home At Christmas was recorded, in 1957, it was more or less over for The Five Keys, at least in terms of selling records; I suppose they were eclipsed by similar-sounding groups such as The Platters. Apparently, this lovely Christmas song wasn't even released at the time. Go figure.
