Advent Calendar 2023

The Advent Calendar has been much too sane over the past few entries - time for something a little quirkier. It's a return visit from Dali Caldis, aka Syd Dale, and his Christmas album. Contrary to what I wrote last year, this album was not originally released in 1973, but a full three years earlier, under a different title - In A Swinging Christmas Dance Party!! - and credited to Dali Caldis And His Brazil Nuts. This unusually arranged medley of Little Drummer Boy and Frosty The Snowman prompted a commentator on YouTube to write, "I have never liked this song until Dali Caldis made this recording". Let's see if it can convert other Little Drummer Boy doubters.
