The good, the bad and the curious of Yuletide music.

We're slowing down the tempo a bit with this melancholy rumination on Christmas reminding you of a past romance, and the hope that you and the other person could get it together again. Originally a B-side of Jim Croce's 1973 single One Less Set Of Footsteps, it was reissued as an A-side at the end of the year, just a few months after Croce's untimely death in a plane crash. It only reached #64 on Billboard's pop singles chart at the time, but is a much bigger hit in my personal Jim Croce chart.
Listen to It Doesn't Have To Be That Way.
Or listen on Spotify, where I've created a playlist for this year's Advent Calendar.
The Spotify playlist for all the previous Advent Calendars is here. Note: The playlist is incomplete, as some of my calendar selections are just too obscure for Spotify.
