I've mentioned before on this website how important Jerry Greenberg was in hooking me up with people who could help me tell the story about ABBA and their American record company, Atlantic Records, for my book ABBA On Record. As the president of the famous record label, Greenberg was the man who signed the group in 1974, simply on the strength of hearing Waterloo and deciding that it had every chance of becoming a hit in America (as detailed in the book, labels such as CBS thought it was too European).
Long in the making, Jerry has now published his memoirs Whole Lotta Music, written in collaboration with Joy Peters PhD, which detail his illustrious journey through the music business. It features a section on ABBA, where Jerry tells the story of his influence on their career in the United States – the way he remembers it. There are also a handful of pictures featuring Jerry with ABBA and/or Stig Anderson.
It seems the book is almost exclusively available from Amazon, so I've added convenient ordering links below. I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through one of these links.
