March 25, 2008: An updated version of Bright Lights Dark Shadows is published in the UK on June 9, 2008, with Australia following in August, and then the US on September 1. This is the update history of the book:

After the book was first published in a hardback edition in September 2001, it was then reprinted in hardback just a few months later. At that time a large number of corrections and updates were entered into the main text.

Then, in 2002, the paperback version was published. Again, a large number of revisions were made to the main text. This is the version that has been sold since then.

Now, in 2008, Bright Lights Dark Shadows is reprinted in paperback. This time around, further extensive revisions have been made to the main text, and there is also a 9-page Afterword, which brings the story up to the present day. This Afterword is a brief recount of events since 2001.

The cover of the book will be the same as before.
